Vespa 50 Special (V5B1)

The year 1969 saw movement in Piaggio's model range. The V50 is thoroughly revised and presented as the 50 Special (V5A2T). Not much has changed under the side hood. Except for the carburetor, now an SHB 16/12. The 10-inch wheels are mounted on self-ventilating aluminium brake drums.

The rectangular handlebar head with large, rectangular plastic cover made of black plastic, the gray plastic cascade in an angular design and the rear light with black plastic cover clearly herald the end of the 1960s.
