Vespa 50 L (Unificata)

The Vespa 50 L (V5A1T), which appeared in 1966, was the luxury version of the 50 N. Double seat bench, aluminum edge protection on the leg shield, improved chassis are just some of the luxurious features. The "Vespa L" lettering on the leg shield is no longer a thin sheet of glued aluminum as before, but a relief lettering made of highly polished aluminum. This lettering is now also located at the rear above the rear light. The square Piaggio emblem is still located at the upper end of the cascade. The mudguard is given a decorative fin made of aluminum and the tread strips are no longer made of solid rubber, but consist of aluminum strips with rubber profiles riveted to the tread plate, as on the larger models.

The engine remains the same as on the 50 N. Technically, the front chassis is improved by a double-acting hydraulic shock absorber.

The 50 L is equipped with a double seat as standard, which was previously only available as an option for the 50 N. An aluminum luggage hook is attached to the front end of the seat. From October 1, 1967, the new hexagonal Piaggio emblem is attached to the upper end of the cascade, which is used for the entire vehicle range from this date.
