This screw set is required for the MALOSSI reed valve intake manifold X360 if you want to convert a conventional largeframe engine housing (rotary valve) to a reed valve. The key point is the thread adapter sleeves for thread reduction: This adapts the original threads on the engine case to the dimensions required for the X360 so that the intake manifold can be fitted cleanly and without tension.

Suitable for Vespa PX80, PX125, PX150, PX200, T5 and Cosa 125 to 200.

What is the set intended for?

On many largeframe engine cases, the original stud bolts for fixing the carburettor are designed for rotary slides. For the MALOSSI X360 reed valve intake manifold, the fixing is solved differently. This is exactly where the adapter sleeves come into play: You remove the original stud bolts from the engine housing and screw in the threaded adapter sleeves. This provides the right thread size for the X360 mounting.

Installation instructions (practical)

Unscrew the original stud bolts from the engine housing (lock two nuts against each other)
Clean the thread, screw in the adapter sleeves and fit them cleanly
Fit the X360 intake manifold with the screws and washers from the set
When working on the intake duct: it is better to work in a controlled manner and with a plan, the housing is thinner in certain areas
If a rubber sleeve is fitted to the X360 system: do not use sharp tools, warm the rubber slightly if necessary
