Stainless steel Lefthand design Broadband racing characteristics Suitable for wide tires Stainless steel rear silencer Plug-and-play
The JL-Style Lefthand is a powerful racing system with a wide usable rev range. The typical two-stroke performance kick is already noticeable on the stock engine, but the exhaust shows its strengths particularly on setups from 177 cc. Historically designed for powerful 200cc setups, it also delivers a distinctly sporty performance on PX80/125/150 with 177cc cylinders and noticeably picks up speed from around 5,000 rpm.
Compared to a box system, the JL-Style offers slightly less torque at the bottom end, but compensates for this with joyful revving and powerful power build-up. The result: sporty propulsion in the mid-range and a clear increase in top speed via the revving capacity. The stainless steel construction ensures durability and a high-quality, sporty look, while the sound is voluminous and throaty.
- Ideal with 177 cc touring and sports cylinders (e.g. BGM 177, Quattrini M1X, Pinasco/Stelvio 177).
- standard carburetor works, larger carburetors are useful depending on the setup; clean jetting is mandatory.
- Demanding on small engines - with 177 cc the JL unfolds its full potential.
- Do not select too long a primary so that the engine can rev freely.
Plug-and-play on the original mounting points in left-hand design. After installation, check and adjust carburetor tuning and ignition setting. Retighten screw connections after 50-100 km. For high revving setups, check the spark plug pattern and temperatures regularly.
