RX 125 (2018-2020, ZD4KXJA0)

Introduction

Aprilia - RX 125 (2018–2020, ZD4KXJA0)

The Aprilia RX 125 with type code ZD4KXJA0 is a street-legal lightweight enduro motorcycle for the 125 cc class, produced between 2018 and 2020. It represents a market-specific version of the well-known RX 125, featuring modern design, LED lighting technology and Euro 4-compliant engineering.
Thanks to its low weight, long suspension travel and off-road-ready 21" and 18" wheels, the RX 125 is ideal for A1 license holders who want to ride both on road and gravel.

Model History

The ZD4KXJA0 version was produced in parallel with the ZD4KXA00 and served as a model code for selected sales regions. Technically identical, this version also received the new frame design, LED lights, revised seating ergonomics and a modern instrument cluster. The liquid-cooled four-stroke engine with electronic Dell'Orto carburettor was adapted to meet Euro 4 standards. From model year 2021 onwards, this range was replaced by Euro 5 models with a new type code.

Technical Details

The four-stroke single-cylinder engine features 124.2 cc displacement and liquid cooling. It delivers a peak output of 15 hp (11 kW) at 10,000 rpm – the legal limit for A1 class. Maximum torque is 11.2 Nm at 8,000 rpm. Power is transferred via a 6-speed gearbox and chain drive. Top speed is around 110 km/h, depending on rider weight and gearing.

Chassis and Brakes

The chassis consists of a reinforced steel double cradle frame. Front suspension is an upside-down fork with 240 mm travel, rear is a mono shock with 210 mm travel. Braking is handled by a 260 mm wave disc up front and a 220 mm wave disc at the rear. A Bosch ABS with rear deactivation is standard equipment. Tyres: 90/90‑21 front, 120/80‑18 rear.

Colour Variants

The RX 125 ZD4KXJA0 was also offered in sporty colour schemes – such as black/red or grey/neon yellow. Graphics and decals varied by market version. Accessories like hand guards, engine protectors, enduro mirrors or luggage racks were popular customisations among owners.
