Introduction

Aprilia - MX 50 (up to 2005, ZD4STD)

The Aprilia MX 50 (type ZD4STD) is a sporty 50 cc light motorcycle in supermoto style, produced until the mid-2000s. With its aggressive design, high-quality suspension and a rev-happy two-stroke engine, it was especially popular among young riders looking for a true motorcycle experience in the 50 cc class.
The combination of lightweight construction, long-travel suspension and strong performance made the MX 50 one of the most dynamic models in its class.

Model history

The Aprilia MX 50 was positioned as the supermoto variant of the brand’s classic Enduro line. While the design was sharp and modern, the technology relied on proven components such as the AM6 engine with a 6-speed gearbox.
The ZD4STD version was offered in various European markets until around 2005 before being replaced by successors like the Aprilia SX 50.
Thanks to its sporty proportions and road-oriented setup, the MX 50 perfectly met the spirit of young 50 cc riders.

Colour variants

The MX 50 was available in several sporty colour combinations including black, red, silver and white with bold graphics.
High-mounted exhaust, slim bodywork and angular headlight mask gave the bike a distinctive look.
No official limited editions are documented, but many bikes were modified or derestricted individually.
