Brake pad bolt OLYMPIA for swingarm front fork Vespa Largeframe (ca.1969-1979)
The brake pad bolt is pushed through the swingarm and is at the same time the support for the lower spring mount of the shock absorber spring as well as the bolt on which the brake pads are pushed and fixed with a wire clip.
It is no longer bolted to the swingarm on models from 1969 onwards, but is fixed to the swingarm with an inserted sheet metal plate.
NOTE: Almost all brake pad bolts come from the Far East and are usually very short. Depending on the tolerances of all components and the width of the brake pads used, it can happen that the safety clip (Omega) of the brake shoes does not fit into the groove because they are covered by the pads. Then please look at the groove on the swing arm side for the plate and deburr if necessary. Alternatively, use other brake shoes that are somewhat narrower.
TIP: The perfect alternative is the BGM PRO brake pad bolt 'Made in Germany'. This is very high quality manufactured and has the correct dimensions.
