Highlights

The POLINI CP 21 is Polini's first completely in-house carburetor generation: every component has been developed, manufactured and tuned to achieve constant fuel supply, clean throttle response and good performance with efficient fuel consumption characteristics. The aluminum housing makes the CP very light and compact - ideal when there is little space in the frame or under the side cover.

Technology: Flow, supply, setup friendliness

Short intake manifold with concentric geometry: optimizes the air flow during gas throughput and supports even mixture formation.
Stable fuel supply: larger needle and optimized fuel supply help to prevent fuel stall even under high load.
Overflow / return design in the atomizer area: supports clean flow dynamics in different slide positions.
Plastic float and controlled sealing needle: designed for consistent function over longer running times - facilitates tuning.

Polini recommends the use of a non-original open air filter. In addition, the Polini 316.0010 starter kit is recommended as a useful supplement.

Fit and connection

This version of the CP has a plug connection with Ø24 mm connection width (AW). The choke is designed as a cable choke. The compact design makes the carburettor particularly interesting for setups where space and accessibility play a role.

The Polini factory calibration is a starting point. In practice, the final tuning depends on cylinder, exhaust, air filter, temperature and altitude. For clean performance, we recommend fine tuning (spark plug pattern, AFR/dyno).
Polini recommends a non-original, open air filter, as this better supports the flow potential of the CP.
Polini recommends the starter kit 316.0010 as a supplement. Depending on the vehicle/setup, this can usefully extend the starter function or the choke setup.

Note: Carburetor tuning is always setup-dependent. For tuned engines, we recommend checking the jetting and ignition under load.
