Screwless mountable airbox with significantly more volume, flow-optimized geometry and prepared 28 mm Ramair connection for Vespa PX carburetor sumps.
The Qicklock Airbox STANDARD is a well thought-out solution for Vespa large-frame engines with SI 28 mm carburetors, where more intake volume, better accessibility and clean installation are required. It fits PX-alt and Lusso carburetor bowls, with or without oil pump. The special feature is the screwless mounting: The supplied bolts are fitted to the carburetor sump, on which the airbox is guided and fixed. This makes access to the carburetor much more convenient and saves the cumbersome handling of the cover screws.
Especially with more powerful SI setups, the volume under the original carburetor cover is quickly limited. The Qicklock airbox offers significantly more space and a flow-optimized internal geometry. As a result, the carburetor has more intake air available, which creates a clean basis for tuning, especially with load changes and larger SI carburetors.
Instead of fastening the airbox in the classic way with cover screws, special bolts are mounted on the carburetor sump. The airbox is guided over them, making it much easier to remove and refit.
The airbox also offers the option of connecting a 28 mm Ramair air filter. A plug-in sleeve is provided for this purpose, with which the air filter can be attached from the inside using a cable tie. If no external air filter is used, the connection hole can be closed with the TPU cover provided.
The Qicklock airbox is manufactured as an FDM printed part from black PETG-CF. The material is designed to be more resistant to gasoline and oils and offers a robust, quiet and functional basis for high-performance SI setups thanks to its material thickness and density.
The airbox is suitable for PX-alt and Lusso carburetor sumps, both with and without oil pump. Thanks to the high accuracy of fit, the airbox sits cleanly on the carburetor sump and can be fitted without a rubber gasket.
