Clutch -MALOSSI Power Up Clutch Ø109,5mm Vespa type 7 springs (Rally200, PX200, T5 125cc)- 4 friction plates (complete)

The Malossi Power-up Clutch is a further development of the classic old PX clutch type, as used by Piaggio until 1998 in the Vespa PX models.
Malossi counters the known weaknesses of this type with appropriate measures.
The clutch basket is made of high-strength, heat-treated steel. In addition, this was provided with a welded ring to prevent the basket from opening due to high centrifugal force at high speeds. The clutch springs are supported in pockets directly integrated in the basket, no longer in inserted metal plates. To achieve a higher pressure force the clutch has twice as many spring positions as original (PX125/150 = 12pcs. PX200 = 14pcs.). The clutch can therefore be fitted with the necessary springs to match the engine power.

The disadvantage of the often throwing up/shearing off, narrow brake pads has unfortunately not been changed with the Malossi Power-up version. On the positive side, it is still possible to use conventional brake pads from other manufacturers (4-disc brake pad packages).

NOTE
As with all Vespa PX 7-spring clutches, it is imperative that the control bore of the clutch hub and clutch basket are aligned with each other. This results in the springs being at a slight angle. This is desired and necessary so that the clutch does not slip when starting. The clutch cover must be machined in accordance with the instructions to ensure that the clutch basket is always fully free to move.

SUPPLY
The clutch is complete except for the clutch pinion. It is delivered unassembled.
The 6 or 7 spring types are suitable for the clutch pinion (select the pinion type to match the clutch version with 6/7 springs).
