Clutch spider -MALOSSI Power Up Clutch Ø98,5mm Vespa type 6 springs (PX80, PX125, PX150)

The Malossi Power-up Clutch is a further development of the classic old PX clutch type, as used by Piaggio in the Vespa PX models until 1998.
Malossi countered the known weak points of this type with appropriate measures.

The clutch basket is made of high-strength, heat-treated steel. In addition, it is fitted with a welded ring to prevent the basket from opening due to high centrifugal force at high engine speeds. The clutch springs are supported in pockets integrated directly in the basket, no longer in inserted sheet metal plates. In order to achieve a higher pressure force, the clutch has twice as many spring positions as the original (PX125/150 = 12 pcs. PX200 = 14 pcs.). The clutch can therefore be fitted with the necessary springs to match the engine power.

Unfortunately, the disadvantage of the narrow lugs, which often shear off, has not been changed in the Malossi Power-up version. On the positive side, conventional pad types from other manufacturers can still be used (4-disc pad packs).
