FAIO RACING × EGIG PERFORMANCE - Gearbox X-TRA S LARGE (Smallframe)

Professional gearbox in extra width with tooth module 2 - developed for extreme torques and use with clutches with polygonal connection. Designed for Egig/Fabbri engine blocks and suitably machined Quattrini housings.

The X-TRA S LARGE was developed in close cooperation between FAIO RACING and EGIG PERFORMANCE. Extra-wide gears (module 2) withstand high surface pressures, the 18 mm auxiliary shaft with XXL polygon transmits the drive forces positively and the 4-arm shift claw ensures clear engagement under load.

Thanks to balanced gear ratios, the package works just as convincingly on the road as it does on the long haul and race track - currently the most sophisticated solution for high-end smallframe engines.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions about the X-TRA S LARGE

It is designed for Egig and Fabbri and is plug-and-play there. In Quattrini housings, appropriate machining is necessary; installation is not possible in OEM Piaggio housings (housing too narrow).
A larger tooth module means wider teeth (at the tooth base) and more load-bearing flank. Together with the extra width of the gears, this massively increases the load reserves and the service life at very high torques.
A very high-quality EGIG shifting claw with 4 arms, 50.2 mm and a specially developed detent profile - for perfectly precise shifting and low wear on the gears.
For very high-torque smallframe engines over 40 Nm. The gradation remains suitable for everyday use.
