. if there is a red dot on the sidewall of the tire, please position it at the valve. The tire is lightest here and thus compensates for the weight of the valve.
DIRECTION OF RUNNING
Check the tire for a directional indication (arrow) on the tire sidewall. If there is an arrow, it indicates the rolling direction when the tire is mounted.
TYRE TYPE TT OR TL
Check whether the tire is marked TT (tube type = tire with inner tube) or TL (tube less = tire without inner tube). TT tires must not be used on tubeless rims. Conversely, TL tires can be used on split rims, but are much tighter and only settle into their final position with a lot of tire mounting paste and high air pressure.
VISIBILITY CHECK AND TALKING
Before inserting the inner tube into the tire, check that there are no foreign objects inside the tire. Then fill the inside of the tire with some talcum powder. Now swivel the tire so that the powder can be evenly distributed.
INSTALLING THE TUBE
Now insert the tube into the tire and inflate it slightly until it has assumed a round shape. Pay attention to the running direction of the tire as well as the valve orientation (left/right)!
ASSEMBLY PASTE
Apply some tire mounting paste to the tire bead and rim. Press the rim half with the valve hole into the tire and thread the tire valve into the rim hole.
Insert the other half of the rim into the tire and screw both halves together with the nuts. Make sure that the inner tube is not pinched between the halves.
If necessary, pump in a little more air.
INFLATING THE TYRES
Once the rim nuts and locking rings have been fitted and properly tightened (M8 = 22Nm), start inflating the tires.
Start with low air pressure and check that the valve is properly seated in the rim hole. If necessary, move the valve slightly.
Now inflate the tire to approx. 3 bar and check whether the tire fits evenly on the rim edge. With TL tires, the air pressure can also be set higher for a short time (not over 5 bar!). After checking, lower the air pressure back to the correct level for the vehicle. Wash the tires with water and a mild detergent to remove any residue, e.g. from the tire mounting paste or similar.
VISUAL CHECK
After mounting on the vehicle, check the tire for concentricity. If the tire does not run true, it has usually not settled properly. Here, re-inflation or a short drive of approx. 10 m with low air pressure will help. Otherwise, the wheel must be removed again and checked for mounting errors.
FIRST RIDE
Do not use the full power for the first few kilometers. The tire only develops its full grip after a few kilometers. Pay particular attention to this on wet roads.
