Off-center engine cones allow the engine to be distanced for greater distance from the frame. This is often necessary on cylinders that have a diaphragm intake and the space between the frame and the intake manifold is very small.
If the intake manifold touches the frame, all vibrations are transmitted unfiltered into the frame. In the worst case, the intake manifold or the cylinder can be damaged.
The engine bolt is flattened on one side, and the mounting in the cones is also flattened to match.
This effectively prevents twisting of the cones, the alignment to each other is always 100% parallel. An important criterion to fix the motor straight in the frame.
For assembly, please mount the cones with the slots facing upwards (12 o'clock position).
