The VESPTEC XL cable box in carbon look is designed for Vespa PX Lusso engine housings from 1984 onwards and offers more space for neat wiring on the engine. Especially with restored PX engines, converted wiring harnesses or setups with a larger airbox, the area around the original cable box can quickly become cramped. The XL version creates more space, guides the cables in a practical manner and is equipped with TPU sealing rubbers that are easy to insert.
The cable box forms the transition between the engine wiring harness and the vehicle wiring harness. On classic PX engines, it has often been worked on, repaired or converted over the years. A larger cable box creates more space for clean connections, makes it easier to check the cables and reduces the risk of laying cables unnecessarily tight or under tension.
For more powerful PX setups with a larger airbox, the installation space on the engine housing can become tight. The VESPTEC XL cable box takes this situation into account with optimized cable routing. This allows the electrics to be accommodated more neatly in the area of the carburetor sump, airbox and engine housing.
The cable box is supplied in a molded state. This means that it is supplied without additional finishing or painting work. The surface corresponds to the carbon look finish used in production. Small structural features are possible due to the material and production process and have no influence on the function.
This version is intended for Vespa PX Lusso engine housings built from 1984 onwards. The decisive factor is the mount on the engine housing, not just the frame model.

In practice, many PX engines have been replaced over the years. For this reason, the cable box mount on the existing engine housing should be checked on every PX - especially on vehicles built around 1983/1984, on PX-alt/Lusso mixed bodies or after an engine change. The dimensions, attachment and cable outlet must match the installed housing version.
