With the new SMART engine housing, Pinasco is launching a modern further development for Vespa 200 engines. The big advantage: The housing enables the installation of a classic SI carburetor (24-28 mm) in combination with a high-precision reed intake - ideal for high-performance conversions without sacrificing everyday usability or original looks.

Highlights of the new reed valve solution

Precision manufactured: The reed block consists of a CNC-milled Ergal plate that is co-coated with rubber - for perfect sealing without additional gaskets.

Durable & low-maintenance: The soft rubber base prevents premature wear of the carbon reed valva .

Performance-optimized: High-quality carbon blades with optimum flexibility and integrated stainless steel stopper to control the opening movement.

Significantly improved running behavior

The Pinasco SMART motor housing was specifically developed for greater efficiency and riding comfort. The reed valva control ensures smoother power delivery even from low engine speeds, reduces fuel consumption and eliminates typical problems of rotary valve engines - such as splashing back ("recoil") into the carburetor.
