Unique on the market: The oversize version BGM7950.
We are the only manufacturer that also offers these silent blocks in an oversize version (BGM7950). These are intentionally not yet turned down to the nominal size. For engine blocks with oval or damaged silent block mounts, a machinist can precisely machine the blocks to the required dimensions (recommended oversize / interference fit approx. 0.025–0.06 mm). This allows even heavily stressed or repaired housings to be mounted correctly and permanently—a decisive advantage.
Otherwise, everything is the same as with the BGM7950G:
We were so dissatisfied with the quality of all available silent blocks that we took matters into our own hands. The goal was clear: maximum vibration reduction combined with stable engine mounting and a long service life.
After extensive testing with different rubber hardnesses—and especially with different hardnesses on the left and right sides—we found the optimal combination. The right side (kickstarter side) is intentionally designed to be slightly harder, as it is subjected to higher loads. The result: noticeably smoother operation and significantly less vibration across the entire RPM range.
Easy and Correct InstallationEach silent block is clearly marked:
- L= Left /R= Right
- Arrow indicates the installation position (must point to 12 o’clock)
This ensures error-free installation.
Why the “large” silent block (wide type) is the better choiceStarting with the later 125cc, 150cc, 175cc, and all 200cc models, Innocenti opted for the wider silent block with more rubber mass. It dampens vibrations much more effectively and significantly reduces them. The narrow silent blocks in the early engines transmit more vibrations to the chassis. That’s why we always recommend the wide version for the long engine bolt (29 cm) when replacing them.
Important Installation Notes
- Warm up the housing thoroughly before pressing it in
- If there is slight play in the engine housing, use Loctite on the joint between the shaft and hub
- Never press in with force or at an angle—the housing may crack
