History & range of use

The RS-Series is a mature classic: originally developed for the Malossi 210, today it is a real all-rounder - from a complete standard engine to 260 cc Quattrini or VMC. It offers very good pre-reso performance, combined with strong peak power and a wide rev band/overrev for powerful PX200 setups with a sporty gear.

Characteristics

Early punch through pre-reso, powerful in the middle, very easy to rev at the top. The long overrev keeps the power high after the peak and enables high cruising and top speeds. The 32 mm tailpipe ensures throughput even on thermally demanding setups. The sound is powerful and pleasantly muffled.

Setup and transmission

- Can be used from standard up to 260 cc (e.g. Malossi/MHR, Polini 207, Pinasco, Quattrini, VMC).
- Standard carburettor possible; depending on the setup, a larger carburettor/intake tract may be advisable. Clean jetting and ignition check recommended (spark plug pattern/EGT).
- Do not select a primary that is too long so that the engine can rev freely and the overrev can be used.

at the original points in Lefthand. Install tension-free, set sealing surfaces cleanly and retighten screw connections after 50-100 km. Spare wheel cannot be combined; in return, very good ground clearance and suitability for wide tires.

Very compatible with Malossi MHR, Polini 207, Pinasco as well as Quattrini M232/244 and VMC Ranger 213 or Explorer 244. Moderate-sporty timing and no overlong primaries help to make full use of the overrev.
