Original front brake disc for Royal Alloy GP, TG and JPS Sidecar models. The brake disc is designed as a vehicle-specific replacement part for the front axle and is suitable for replacing the existing brake disc in case of wear or damage.
The design differs noticeably from a conventional round brake disc. The outer circumference features a pronounced wave contour. Numerous elongated cut-outs following the shape of the disc are distributed around the friction ring. Three large inner cut-outs reduce the closed area between the friction ring and the mounting points.
The outer friction ring follows a uniformly waved contour. The elongated openings distributed around the circumference are arranged in alternating orientations and follow the shape of the brake disc. Together with the large cut-outs in the inner section, they create the characteristic open design of the original Royal Alloy Sidecar brake disc.
The surface shows a uniform metallic machining pattern. The edges of the cut-outs and the outer contour are cleanly finished. Separate mounting areas are visible at the three mounting points.
The brake disc is marked “MIN.TH. 3 mm”. This specifies a minimum thickness of 3 mm and therefore provides a wear limit that can be read directly from the component. Once this minimum thickness is reached, the brake disc must be replaced accordingly.
As an original part, the brake disc corresponds to the intended vehicle-specific design. It is intended for installation on the front axle of the corresponding Royal Alloy Sidecar models. The Royal Alloy part number is 0309050001-02-001.
Brake discs are safety-relevant wear components. In addition to the minimum thickness of 3 mm specified on the component, the general condition of the friction surface and any visible damage should also be taken into account during inspection. Replacement and installation should be carried out professionally.
