Vespa Wideframe 3-speed gearshift lever

The gearshift detent is a central component in the Vespa gearbox and, like all mechanical components, is subject to natural wear. If the detent has play, the spring is tired or the shift arm is worn or torn, you should definitely replace it - for a clean, precise shift function.

Why you should replace it in good time:

✅ Precise gear selection only with a play-free, functioning detent
✅ Wear and tear significantly impairs shifting performance
✅ Replacement saves follow-up costs due to gear wear

Different variants - one solution

PIAGGIO often supplies gearshift pegs with identical OEM numbers, but from different manufacturers. A good example: FA Italia is an official supplier of PIAGGIO - it is therefore possible that a PIAGGIO package contains a shift peg from FA.

For newer Vespa models, we offer you three tried and tested options:

  • PIAGGIO original part: reliable, direct from the manufacturer
  • FA Italia: very good price-performance ratio, solid workmanship
  • Premium version: highest manufacturing quality, precise fitting dimensions

Technical note:

The installation of a high-quality shift peg noticeably improves the shifting behavior of your Vespa - a must for every gearbox overhaul or engine revision.
