We have received from a stock liquidation still a few, in the 1950/60's produced, original SIEM headlights from Italy. Here in the 115/120mm diameter version for the above mentioned Vespa 125-160cc wide and large frame models. The glass diffuser with the classic SIEM Torino logo clearly show the quality difference to cheap replicas. A must for any serious restoration. Another feature are the sturdy spring clips that fix the headlight plug. These are in the old headlights still ser stable and not as flexible as in the newly available copies.
This headlight has as illuminant a Bilux two-filament bulb (BA25S with 25/25Watt).
The reflector may be dusty, simply swish it out with gentle detergent (clear water + dishwashing liquid). Do not clean the reflector. The reflective layer is vaporized and will be destroyed by mechanical treatment (as with any classic headlamp).
