Internal rotor ignition systems are a must for all high-end engines.
The ignition systems installed by the OEM only provide a clean ignition pulse up to a certain RPM. The Malossi MHR Team II ignition system operates up to 20,000 RPM. The discharge voltage is approximately 30,000 volts.
Thanks to the extremely small and lightweight rotor, the engine responds much more aggressively to the throttle and delivers more power across the entire RPM range. As a result, your scooter not only accelerates much better, but also reaches a higher top speed.
The microprocessor-controlled CDI unit offers the added benefit of variable ignition timing. As RPM increases, the timing shifts toward top dead center. This gives you significantly more torque at lower RPMs and reduces thermal stress on the engine at higher RPMs.
This ignition system comes with: a flywheel, stator, ignition coil, and the microprocessor-controlled CDI unit.
Since this is a pure racing part, the alternator has also been sacrificed to the god of performance. However, the ignition system is now solely responsible for igniting the fuel-air mixture. No power is supplied to the electrical system anymore. So you won’t have any lights either.
A radical solution for extreme engines.
