KMT nozzles are manufactured in England with high precision using Swiss tools from the watchmaking industry. An enthusiastic team led by engineer Alan Baxter and European distribution partner Patrick Adam of Chiemgau Tec Production manufactures the nozzles with a maximum permissible tolerance ranging from 0.005 to 0.010 mm. The highest priority is placed on absolute reproducibility, which is why the entire machine park is subject to constant inspection and maintenance. For example, all collets and sleeves used to hold workpieces are regularly cleaned and replaced as needed before they become worn. Likewise, the nozzle material is carefully selected and brought to the required temperature prior to processing.
After mechanical finishing, the nozzles are degreased and cleaned using ultrasound. Any contaminants, such as chips and oil deposits, are removed. The final step involves steam degreasing and vacuum drying, followed by a blast of air to ensure once again that the nozzle holes are clear.
After cleaning, samples from each batch are re-inspected to ensure that everything meets the desired specifications.
