Why threads with different directions of rotation?

The biggest advantage of a right-hand thread on the right-hand side and a left-hand thread on the left-hand side is that the mirrors can no longer come loose due to the wind at higher speeds.

A left-hand thread on the right-hand side and a right-hand thread on the left-hand side offer the advantage that in the event of a fall, the mirrors can come loose
and damage to the mirrors or their threads is therefore minimized

. As there is no regulation of the mirror threads, these should always be checked before ordering.

TIP

When fitting mirrors, a little grease on the threads can make subsequent removal much easier.
