Vespa 50 Special (V5A2)

The year 1969 saw movement in Piaggio's model range. The V50 is thoroughly revised and presented as the 50 Special (V5A2T). Not much has changed under the side hood. Except for the carburetor, now an SHB 16/12.

The aesthetic changes are quite different, clearly heralding the end of the sixties. The rectangular handlebar head with large, rectangular plastic cover made of black plastic, the black plastic cascade in an angular design and the rear light with black plastic cover show where the journey is heading. The 9-inch wheels are mounted on self-ventilating brake drums.
