An eventful year in 1965 brought the Vespa Sprint 150 (VLB1T), the successor to the GL 150. The most striking changes were the metallic paint (MaxMeyer code 1.268.0110) and the modified lettering: The engine is the classic 150 cc rotary valve engine, although its power has been significantly increased. All the stops of two-stroke tuning have been pulled out: the compression has been increased, the timing changed and the exhaust modified. This benefits both traction and - thanks to a longer gear ratio - the achievable top speed.
