4-speed conversion gearbox for Vespa Wideframe models (VM1T*, VM2T*, VN1T*, VN2T, VL1T, VB1T)
The gearbox set contains
- Main shaft
- Gearwheels Gear 1-4
- Shift bolt Shift cross
- Auxiliary shaft axle incl. For installation, the motor housing must be slightly modified / milled in the area of the third / fourth auxiliary shaft gearwheel. The auxiliary shaft needles used are those of the PX125-200 models (21stk.). As shifting gear please use the type of the Vespa GS150 models (VS3-VS5).
*For the engines of the Vespa VM1T/VM2T and VN1T series the main shaft supplied by Pinasco does not fit, the original one must be used. The Pinasco gear pinions can then be used on this shaft.
The fourth gear ratio corresponds to the third gear ratio of an original VM/VN transmission, so an increase in the final speed can only be achieved by using a longer primary drive with a lower reduction ratio. The reduction of the Pinasco gearbox is significantly shorter than the original. This enables a long primary reduction without the jump from gear three to four stalling the engine.
