Royal Alloy Radiator Grille – Black Metal Mesh – GP, JPS, TG 350cc

Genuine Royal Alloy radiator grille with a black finish and diamond-shaped mesh structure for GP, JPS and TG 350cc models. The component serves as an air-permeable protective cover in the radiator area and is part of the original radiator bodywork.

The design consists of a surrounding metal frame with an integrated fine-mesh insert. The open mesh structure allows air to pass through to the radiator behind it while also limiting direct contact with larger foreign objects.

The radiator grille corresponds to Royal Alloy original part number 0302020001-01-001 and is suitable for replacing a damaged or missing original component.

Diamond-shaped metal mesh

The central area of the radiator grille consists of a uniform mesh formed by diagonally arranged metal strands. The intersecting strands create numerous elongated diamond-shaped openings.

Unlike a closed cover, most of the grille surface remains open. This allows the air required for cooling to flow through the grille towards the radiator.

The fine-mesh structure forms a mechanical barrier in front of the radiator area. Larger foreign objects are retained by the grille, while smaller particles and dirt can still pass through the openings.

The black metal mesh is connected to the surrounding frame and forms a continuous protective cover.

Flat outer frame with semicircular cut-out

The radiator grille has a rectangular basic shape with rounded outer corners. The flat frame runs around the entire outer contour and surrounds the diamond-shaped mesh area.

One of the long sides of the frame features a clearly defined, centrally positioned semicircular cut-out. The mesh structure follows this contour and is bordered by the correspondingly shaped frame.

The cut-out provides the necessary clearance for the adjacent component geometry within the radiator bodywork.

The outer frame has a narrow design so that a large continuous ventilation area is retained.

Mounting via four slotted holes

The radiator grille is secured via four elongated mounting holes in the outer frame.

Two vertically aligned slotted holes are located on each of the two short sides of the frame. They are positioned in the upper and lower areas respectively.

The elongated shape of the mounting holes provides a limited amount of adjustment when aligning the grille with the designated mounting points.

Numerous small connection points between the frame and mesh structure are also visible along the frame.

The flat design allows integration into the intended radiator bodywork without creating an additional, significantly protruding cover.

Black metal construction

The radiator grille has an entirely black finish. Both the surrounding frame and the diagonal mesh strands are finished in black.

The surface has a predominantly smooth, slightly glossy appearance. The uniform colour creates a consistent appearance within the radiator bodywork.

The metal construction differs from the other available Royal Alloy radiator grille version with horizontal plastic slats.

With this version, the open diamond-shaped mesh structure is the defining feature. It provides an even distribution of air passages across almost the entire grille surface.

Compatibility depends on the respective vehicle version and the installed radiator bodywork. Before ordering, Royal Alloy original part number 0302020001-01-001 should be compared with the existing version or the corresponding spare parts catalogue.

Installation information

Before replacement, check that the existing mounting points and adjacent body panels are undamaged.

The new radiator grille is aligned according to the intended installation position. The semicircular cut-out must correspond with the adjacent component geometry.

The four slotted holes allow positioning at the existing mounting points. During installation, ensure that the frame rests evenly against the mounting surface.

The metal mesh must not be excessively tensioned or deformed during fastening. After installation, all mounting points and the clearance to adjacent components should be checked.

To maintain unrestricted airflow, the mesh surface should be regularly checked for dirt and cleaned when necessary.

The genuine Royal Alloy metal radiator grille allows a damaged protective cover to be replaced while retaining the intended installation geometry. The black diamond mesh structure combines a large air-permeable surface with a mechanical barrier for the radiator area.
