Original Royal Alloy brake master cylinder for the rear brake. The complete control unit is mounted on the left-hand side of the handlebar and combines the hydraulic master cylinder, brake fluid reservoir and brake lever in a pre-assembled unit. The Royal Alloy part number is 0309010005-02-001.
The unit is intended for Royal Alloy models from the GP, GT, TG and JPS series. Its vehicle-specific design makes it suitable as an original replacement for a damaged or worn master cylinder or brake lever assembly.
The brake master cylinder converts the movement of the left-hand brake lever into hydraulic brake pressure for the rear brake. The master cylinder, lever mounting and brake fluid reservoir are combined in a compact assembly.
The rectangular brake fluid reservoir is positioned directly above the master cylinder body. It is fitted with a screwed black cover. A round sight glass is integrated into the side of the reservoir, allowing the brake fluid level to be checked.
The silver-coloured brake lever is already mounted to the master cylinder. Its curved shape terminates in a rounded lever end. The pivot and operating mechanism are positioned directly on the black master cylinder housing.
The handlebar mounting uses a split clamp design. This allows the unit to be secured in the intended position on the left-hand side of the handlebar. The screws required for the clamp are already fitted to the unit shown.
The side-mounted sight glass allows the fluid level to be visually checked without opening the reservoir cover. The markings on the reservoir assist with checking the specified fluid level.
The reservoir cover carries the relevant instructions for handling the brake fluid. When working on the hydraulic braking system, the manufacturer's specifications regarding filling, bleeding and the specified brake fluid must always be observed.
The brake master cylinder forms the central operating unit for the rear brake on the left-hand side of the handlebar. The master cylinder, brake fluid reservoir, sight glass, handlebar clamp and brake lever are combined in one assembly.
