Reinforced 3-mm washer for the upper shock absorber silent rubber. Thanks to its reduced outer diameter, the shock absorber can be mounted at a slight angle without unnecessarily restricting the silent rubbers’ range of motion. Particularly suitable for Vespa V50 conversions with a DSP/Antidive system, in which the shock absorber is mounted in a straight position at the level of the wheel axle.
On Vespa V50 models, as part of a DSP/Antidive conversion, the front shock absorber can be mounted in a direct position at the level of the wheel axle to improve the shock absorber’s responsiveness. This modified mounting position causes the shock absorber to be slightly tilted.
The reinforced washer is designed for the upper shock absorber silent rubber and has a material thickness of 3 mm. Compared to a standard, large-area washer, the outer diameter is reduced.
This allows the silent rubber more freedom of movement when the shock absorber is mounted at a slight angle. The washer restricts the rubber element’s range of motion less
The washer with a reduced outer diameter is designed specifically for this installation scenario. It provides the upper silent rubber with sufficient clearance so that it can fulfill its elastic mounting function despite the altered shock absorber position.
