Tool for modifying the engine cover -MB Developments- for installation of kickstarter shaft late, Lambretta LI, LIS, SX, TV, DL, GP

From the 1968 model year, Innocenti fitted a reinforced kickstarter shaft and modified the engine cover accordingly.

The shaft of the reinforced kickstarter shaft is 64 mm long instead of 66 mm, which increases the stability of the shaft.

In order to be able to install the more stable shaft in the earlier engine covers, material must be removed from the inside of the cover using this MBD tool.

To do this, measure precisely and several times and then clamp the tool in a drill. Run the tool so that it clamps the side housing. Always check that the new GP shaft fits. Lubricate the running edges of the tool with a little grease.
