With this tuning kit, we offer you a package with a basic concept that you can't go wrong with if installed and set up correctly. Ideal for people who are just getting into tuning. Once you have tasted blood, you already have a great basis for further expansion steps.
The Malossi 172cc for water-cooled Piaggio engines is the first choice for reliable and powerful tuning. More power in all rev ranges with undiminished reliability are its strengths. The bgm PRO stainless steel manifold not only prevents ugly rusting like the original part, but also ensures better exhaust gas routing, which benefits the performance and temperature of the engine. With the bgm PRO main jet set, the carburetor can be tuned simply and easily. Start with the richest jet and gradually jet down until the scooter runs perfectly. Check the spark plug pattern in between. A perfect and inconspicuous kit that takes your scooter into performance regions that scooter riders with larger displacement scooters dream of!
The basic engine should of course be in a healthy condition and not have too much mileage. Otherwise, it is advisable to overhaul the main engine before tuning. Parts, shaft seals, bearings, engine gaskets etc. can be found in our online store. Further tuning stages are possible, with racing crankshafts, resonance exhaust systems, larger carburetors, etc. A new tuning of the engine is then necessary.
