In 1969, after an extensive facelift, the Vespa Sprint 150 was launched as the Sprint Veloce 150. The frame remained the same, but now a handlebar head with a 130 mm round headlight dominated. The speedometer is the same as on the Super models. The large, angular rear light with a cover painted in the vehicle color completes the new look. At the start of production, light gray plastic handles and side hood rubbers as well as a white speedometer blade were used. During the course of production, these are replaced by black rubber counterparts. The engine lives up to the name Sprint Veloce, as the power output of this unit has been significantly increased once again. Thanks to a third overflow channel in the engine housing and cylinder, it was possible to improve filling across the entire speed range. With the increased compression ratio, the larger Dell'Orto 20/20 carburetor and a more voluminous exhaust, the Sprint achieves balanced performance. With the changing model years, the Sprint Veloce was offered in new colors, so that a lot has accumulated over the long construction period. From 1976, the 613912 bearing was no longer used on the alternator side, but the 4392C bearing for the first time. Including the contact ignition, this is the engine that will be found in the first PX models.
