Voltage converter 12V to 6V for DC horn.

The Vesparatur voltage converter allows the original 6V DC horn to continue to operate when the vehicle electrical system has been converted to 12V.
Prerequisite is a 12V DC power supply, e.g. with the BGM horn rectifier (BGM6710).
The voltage converter can NOT be operated with AC power.

Original horns with the appropriate patina are much more attractive than the few 12V horns available, many of which are also too large

Funktioniert super, aber es muss folgendes unbedingt beachtet werden: Die im Packzettel abgebildete Verdrahtung funktioniert nur mit dem bgm-Hupengleichrichter, da laut Vesparatur (mit denen ich telefoniert habe) der bgm-Hupengleichrichter einen Hupenknopf unterstützt, der beim Drücken einen Masseschluß an Fahrzeugmasse bewirkt. ACHTUNG: Die im Beipackzettel abgebildete Art der Verdrahtung unterstützt NICHT die originalen Hupengleichrichter (z.B. CEM oder entspr. Nachbauten) - die werden dadurch beschädigt - würde ich gar nicht erst versuchen. Abhilfe: Es muß ein massefreier Stromkreis (so wie bei PX/PK) verlegt werden und entweder ein Lichtschalter mit massefreiem Hupentaster verbaut oder der vorhandene Taster auf massefrei umgebaut werden (so wie ich es im Falle zweier GS3 getan habe). Anyway, ein erfreulichers Zubehörteil, um originale 6V Hupen weiter sicher benutzen zu können.

Great little gadget
