For the first time this flatter clutch type was used in the Vespa Sprint models of the second series (Sprint Veloce). From here on it was also used in the PX/PE and T5 models of all displacement classes. From 1984 on the PX Lusso with oil pump, a toothed washer (pinion to drive the pump) was used.
