Fits the first gear of the modernized PX transmissions as used from 1984 onwards.

The simplest recognition feature is the flat shift paddle type used there.

Other way, it looks like if the gear shift lever has already a defect and the gears wear out much faster than usual due to massive gear shifting.

If this defect is ignored for too long and only the gear lever is changed, the now defective gears will cause the gear lever to keep jumping out.

After changing a gear, always re-measure the axial play of the gears to the main shaft. Piaggio specifies a dimension of 0.4mm, practice has shown that a narrower dimension contributes significantly to a more precise shifting process without having to accept increased wear or similar.
