Genuine Piaggio ABS sensor for detecting the wheel speed at the front wheel. The sensor transmits the front wheel speed signal to the ABS system and is designed as a vehicle-specific genuine replacement part for the listed Vespa and Piaggio models.
The complete assembly consists of the sensor head, permanently attached sensor cable and electrical connector. Piaggio part numbers 1D000127 and 1D0001275 are previous versions of the current part number 1D003747.
The product images show an angled black sensor head with integrated mounting point and metal bushing. Large sections of the long connecting cable feature a segmented protective covering. Several guide and retaining elements are already fitted to the cable and support the original routing on the vehicle. At the other end is the electrical connector for connection to the vehicle wiring harness.
The sensor head must be installed in the intended position and the cable routed according to the original configuration. Particular care should be taken around the front suspension to ensure that the cable is not placed under tension, kinked, crushed or damaged by moving components when steering or the suspension is compressed.
When replacing the sensor, the ABS tone ring area and electrical connector should also be inspected. After installation, the correct operation of the ABS system should be checked.
