What do fire hoses, poker chips and car tires have in common? They are all manufactured by the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company! Frank Seiberling bought a disused factory in Ohio in 1898 and, together with his brother Charles, laid the foundations for today's global company. They first began manufacturing bicycle and baby carriage tires and named their company after the American inventor Charles Goodyear. In 1901 they produced the first car tyres, which were even used on Henry Ford's racing car. Today, Goodyear car tires stand for quality, safety and reliability. The blue-yellow logo with the winged feet, which was inspired by the Greek god Hermes, has finally found its way into the Nostalgic Art Collection!
