The existing manual choke eliminates the standard electric choke, reducing fuel consumption and significantly improving cold-starting performance.
The following modifications are necessary to fit the carburettor kit while retaining the original air filter box
:
- Original intake manifold: Shorten as described in the enclosed manual
(alternatively the Malossi intake manifold M027528B can be used). - Connecting rubber to the air filter box: also shorten (11mm)
- Air filter box: Drill the holes for the air sleeve and insert the sleeve.
The basic kit fits very well for the 172cc Malossi cylinder with sport exhaust.
