The clou: A small adjusting screw with which you can adjust the ignition timing of the engine. Turning it clockwise adjusts the ignition in the direction of early counterclockwise in the direction of late. This allows you to influence acceleration and engine running. This is especially useful for tuned vehicles with increased engine capacity.

In delivery condition the adjusting screw is in middle position. The screw can be adjusted about 12-13 complete turns to the right or left. The respective stop is reached when a slight click is heard.

Only suitable for scooters with AC ignition system.

Note: Whether an AC or DC CDI is installed can be determined as follows

• Disconnect battery
• Switch on ignition
• Start with kickstarter

If the scooter starts, an AC CDI is installed.

If the scooter does not start, a DC CDI is installed.
