The throttling of the new Piaggio iGet Euro4 engines, as they are installed in Vespa Primavera, Vespa Sprint 50 or Piaggio Liberty and Zip Euro4 engines 2017-2019, is no longer possible without intervention in the engine control and therefore difficult to implement for a layman. As a rule, an engine tester is required, which only the authorized dealer has available.

The Naraku throttle kit has an open, unthrottled ECU / CDI ignition box, which does NOT need to be tuned with an engine tester on the vehicle. Simply plugging it in is sufficient. In later operation, this is also recognized by the tester during a workshop visit and is not indicated as a fault. Nevertheless, to prevent over-revving of the engine, the ignition curve is also sealed with the Naraku ECU, significantly later than with the factory ECU, but at a safe 10,000.

The scooter has 2 anti-manipulation screws installed on the vario cover, these are replaced with the two Piaggio OEM screws supplied. Also included in the kit is a new open intake hose that increases airflow. Variator rollers and clutch springs to match the new engine power are included in the kit and simply need to be installed.

After installation, a top speed of approximately 65km/h is achieved. With a sport variator such as the Naraku NK901.27 max. speed and acceleration can be further increased (tuning required).

Naraku offers a complete and easy to install kit for dethrottling the new Piaggio / Vespa iGet Euro4 engines. No tuning or engine tester necessary.

Included in the kit are:

  • open CDI / ECU ignition unit (engine protection at 10.000rpm)
  • open intake bellow / intake hose
  • vario weights adapted to the kit
  • spare screws variator cover
  • reinforced clutch springs tuned to the kit
