PROBLEMS OF THE SERIAL CLUTCH BASKET
The normal clutch baskets of the Vespa Smallframe are made of deep-drawn sheet metal. As a result, they do not run particularly smoothly and cannot withstand today's high power levels for long. At higher mileages, the springs of the shock absorber also tend to rub through the thin cover plate used ex works.


EGIG PERFORMANCE CLUTCH BASKET SOLUTION
The EGIG Performance basket is therefore CNC-milled from high-quality steel and uses an integrated so-called primary repair kit. This kit contains reinforced shock absorber springs, suitable for the high torques of modern engine concepts. These protect the transmission parts, as they remain resilient even under hard use. Soft original springs, on the other hand, would be fully compressed, allowing load peaks to enter the transmission unhindered. In addition, the cover plate for the primary springs is significantly thicker and more stable.
