The BGM PRO Superstrong CNC ULTRALUBE clutch cover is a solid and sophisticated upgrade for every Vespa Largeframe engine. We are now supplying the cover as a completely pre-assembled kit: including CNC clutch arm, spring, release lever, O-rings, separating mushroom and special fastening screws. Unpack, fit and ride straight away.
The cover serves as a direct 1:1 replacement for the original part and has already proven itself thousands of times in tough everyday scooter use since its launch. Whether on an untuned PX80 engine or a fully built-up 265cc Quattrini with 50 hp - this design impresses with its absolute reliability and accuracy of fit. A real highlight is the solidly manufactured CNC clutch arm: It offers two engagement positions to optimally adjust the clutch feel to your individual setup.
Many machined or machined series covers often lose the optimum oil supply for the release bearing. The BGM PRO ULTRALUBE system solves this problem elegantly: It guides the gear oil specifically to the separating mushroom and the pressure plate. The result is significantly reduced wear and high long-term stability - a decisive factor with strong clutch springs and frequent stop-and-go traffic.
The two holes on the CNC lever allow you to determine the characteristics of your clutch yourself:
1. Inner hole: Maximum release travel - ideal for thick lining packs or a very high clutch torque (slightly higher manual force).
2. Outer hole: Easier actuation - very comfortable in everyday use with slightly reduced release travel.
This makes it easy to adapt the operation to your own preferences without having to replace additional parts.
The cover is fitted using the material supplied. Lay the clutch cable tension-free and hook it into the inner or outer hole of the CNC arm as required. Then set the separation clearance on the lever and check the function. For early largeframe engines 1958-1962, continue to use the thin washer (1.5 mm). Important: Use the bleed screw separately or select the EGIG bleeder as an accessory.
