POLINI high-end racing shaft for directly aspirated cylinders. The shaft is characterized by an extremely high-quality finish. The workmanship leaves nothing to be desired.
The immense development work of the Polini engineers is reflected not least in the elaborate balancing of the shaft. Resin-filled balancing bores are used next to the crankpin and very heavy tungsten weights on the opposite side. The result is low-vibration motor running with corresponding performance benefits. Sufficiently dimensioned lubrication slots and racing bearings ensure a high level of reliability. The connecting rod is heavy and solid and CNC-finished.
The full cheek shaft is specially designed for directly aspirated cylinders. And the 52.8 mm stroke is due to the Italian racing series. The connecting rod length is now 102 mm instead of 97 mm. The crankcase must be spindled to accommodate the crank webs in the housing.
