ALUMINIUM KIT FOR PIAGGIO ENGINE: NEW AIR
Polini Motori has redesigned the Ø 47.6 For Race aluminum kit for those who want to take part in circuit races on scooters with Piaggio engines.
The increase in displacement, which is permitted by European regulations for circuit races,
significantly improves the various characteristics: responsiveness, acceleration, sprint,
top speed and traction at low to medium revs.
The cylinder, cast in light alloy, offers maximum performance even at high operating temperatures
and dissipates heat better, while maintaining its mechanical tolerances
exceptionally well.
The cylinder has a diameter of 47.6 mm and is coated with a "Gilnisil" coating.
There are six transfer ports.
The exhaust port has a new booster shape that replaces the old W-shape to optimize the
removal of combustion gases.
The piston, made of a light alloy with a high silicon content by gravity casting, is fitted with an "S10"
chrome-plated cast iron piston ring.
The die-cast light alloy head ensures perfect sealing and eliminates knocking problems thanks to its perfect squish ratio.
