Powerful aluminum cylinder with 177cc for Vespa Largeframe
VMC offers different cylinders for the Vespa Largeframe models. The main distinguishing feature is the cylinder base material used.
The CRONO 187 shown here is made of aluminum and has a hard ceramic coating. It is therefore perfectly prepared for the high performance targeted by the kit.
The cylinder can only be used with a special crankshaft with 110mm connecting rod length and 60mm stroke. You can use a PX200 crankshaft (long stroke) and turn the shaft on the clutch side (small web) to make it suitable for the 80-125-150cc engine cases. A conversion bearing with an inner diameter of Ø15mm is then used as the piston pin bearing.
Bore: Ø63mm
Stroke: 57mm (standard)
Connecting rod length: 110mm (standard 105mm)
Piston: Cast aluminum
Piston pin: Ø15mm
Piston rings: 2pcs, 1mm thickness
Cylinder head: Aluminum CNC
8-fold bolted CNC cylinder head
The generous port areas do not require long control angles for its high power output.
With 120°/178° and the resulting 29° advance angle, the cylinder is already relatively sporty for PX engines and reacts very positively to a good box exhaust system such as the BGM Touring 2 due to the large advance.
Steering angle: 120°/178°
Recommended squeezing edge: 1.3mm (±0.1mm)
Tightening torque cylinder head screws M6: 10-11Nm
Tightening torque cylinder head nuts M7: 14-15Nm
Enclosed gaskets: 0.2mm, 0.3mm, 0.4mm
