D.R. also follows traditional paths with the 133 cc cylinder and produces an extremely durable cylinder that is in no way inferior to the originals in terms of durability. A very good-natured cylinder that doesn't break down even on long journeys.
Due to the relatively low compression ratio, the D.R. can be run on normal petrol. The thin 1.5 mm piston rings, which do not get in the way of higher engine speeds, are very attractive. This means that even a D.R. with a suitable racing shaft and a sensible exhaust can develop amazing power. The performance then almost reaches Polini values, which also justifies larger exhaust systems such as the VSP Inox or the Hammerzombie. D.R. now only offers one cylinder for the PK and PV models, not two separate cylinders as was previously the case.
The only difference between the cylinders was the different spacing and thickness of the exhaust stud bolts:
Dimensions original cylinder:
Exhaust studs:
The distance between the threaded holes on the exhaust is:
The DR cylinder has the following dimensions:
Exhaust stud bolt:
The distance between the threaded holes on the exhaust is
The DR cylinder is therefore exactly between the dimensions of the PV/ET3 and PK cylinders. It may therefore be necessary to adjust the exhaust flange of the exhaust slightly.
