The BGM PRO Brake Rotor Set BGM2507WKT is used for precise axial spacing of the radial BGM PRO CNC Touring brake caliper mount. By combining shims of varying thicknesses, the position of the caliper mount can be adjusted so that the caliper sits centered over the brake rotor.
This precise centering is crucial for a disc brake: The brake disc should run smoothly within the caliper without being offset to the side. The set provides several finely graduated spacer options for this purpose.
BGM PRO BGM2507WKT 0.5 / 1.0 mm CNC Touring radial for centering the brake caliper
The BGM installation instructions explicitly require adjusting the position of the brake caliper using the spacer discs until the caliper is centered over the brake rotor. To do this, the discs are used in various combinations depending on the actual installation situation.
The set includes three large 0.5-mm shims as well as one 0.5-mm and one 1.0-mm D-shaped shim. This allows the position to be adjusted step by step without having to improvise with unsuitable universal shims.

The two smaller spacer washers are designed as D-washers. During installation, the appropriate D-washer is slipped onto the axle and aligned so that its flattened side faces the corresponding recess in the axle. This ensures that it fits snugly in its intended position.
There is no one-size-fits-all washer combination for every installation. The actual position of the brake caliper and brake rotor is decisive. The spacing is selected so that, after installation, the brake caliper is positioned exactly centered over the brake rotor.
The BGM installation instructions show several possible combinations of D-shims and 0.5-mm shims. To adjust the alignment, repeat the corresponding installation steps until the brake caliper is perfectly centered.
This means that BGM2507WKT is not a universal set of shims, but rather a spacer set specifically designed for the BGM PRO CNC Touring caliper mount.
