One-piece aluminum edge protector in the original mono-slotted tube style for the leg shield of classic Vespa Smallframe models.
The CIF HQ edge protector is a high-quality aluminum leg shield edge protector in a black satin finish. It is based on the original design and is supplied as a one-piece mono-slotted tube. This makes it particularly suitable for restorations, new builds and black edition setups where the classic leg shield contour should be retained but the look should be deliberately darker and more discreet.
The edge protection sits on the all-round edge of the leg shield and forms the visible finish of the bodywork. Damaged, deformed or poorly fitting edge protectors are immediately noticeable, especially on freshly painted frames. The black CIF HQ version sets a clear accent here and fits particularly well with scooters where chrome or bare aluminum should be deliberately reduced.
The shape remains classic, the surface has a more modern look: thanks to the black satin finish, the edge protector blends in very well with dark detail concepts. It looks particularly harmonious in combination with black tread strips, dark rims, black levers or other Black Edition components.
The edge protector is designed for classic Vespa Smallframe models, including the V50, V90, PV125 and ET3. Depending on the model and year of manufacture, it is also used on related Smallframe variants such as the 50 L, 50 R, 50 Special, 50 SR, 100 Sport and 125 Nuova. Matching Spanish Motovespa smallframe models are also possible, including Motovespa 50 3-speed/4-speed, Motovespa 75, 75 U-2, 75 Primavera T3 as well as 125 Super, 125 SL, 125 Primavera T3, 125 T3 Primavera and 125 NK. For Spanish transition models, the leg shield shape should always be checked on the vehicle before fitting.
Fitting a one-piece aluminum edge protector requires experience and suitable tools. We recommend installation by an experienced restorer or coachbuilder, especially for freshly painted frames.

As with all body attachments, we recommend assembling the scooter once in its raw state before painting. During this dry build, the fit, alignment and any adjustments to the edge protection can be checked without jeopardizing a fresh coat of paint. Small corrections are much easier at this stage and later invisible.
