Spindled Malossi case for King shafts up to 65 mm stroke

Engine case MALOSSI revised by KINGWELLE for crankshafts with 62/64/65 mm stroke

  • Brand new Malossi engine case

  • Crankcase diameter spindled out to Ø100mm

  • Suitable for crankshafts with 62/64/65 mm stroke

  • Tolerance of the bearing seat of the crankshaft bearing (Lima side) corrected from -0.070 mm to -0.045 mm

  • Recommended bearing for the limo side: NU205 C3

Malossi engine cases are the first choice for building a powerful and reliable engine for Vespa Largeframe models.

CYCLE CASEDIAMETER
If a Kingwelle crankshaft with an extra-long stroke (up to 65 mm instead of the standard 57 mm) is used, it is necessary to increase the diameter of the crankcase in order to be able to fit the crankshafts with their larger cheek diameter.

BEARING SEAT LIGHTMACHINESIDE
The bearing seat of the light engine side bearing is reworked in the same step. Malossi meant a little too well here with the undersize for the bearing fit. As a rule, 7/100 mm undersize leads to a very tight running bearing. Kingwelle reduces the undersize to 0.040-0.045 mm.

RECOMMENDATION NU205 C3
An additional recommendation is the use of a two-piece roller bearing of type NU205 with bearing clearance C3. This makes mounting the engine halves much easier than with the one-piece ball bearing supplied by Malossi.

CONCLUSION
The most professional solution for high-displacement, high-end engines with Malossi MHR221 or Quattrini M244 cylinders. This is the perfect basis for anyone aiming for performance of well over 30 hp.
